In a heartbreaking incident earlier this week, just reaching the national news, the lives of three individuals, Danielle Ayoka, a New Age astrologer and Reiki healer with over 100,000 Twitter followers, and her partner, Jaelen Allen Chaney, plus Ayoka’s eight month old baby were tragically cut short in what authorities are terming a murder-suicide. The incident occurred in LA, not far from TFD’s home base, during the early morning hours leading up to the total solar eclipse across a large swath of America on Monday.
Reports suggest that Ayoka had developed an intense fear of the harmless eclipse from exposure to Russian fostered and General Flynn spread Q based conspiracy theories — ranging from the launch of a bio-weapon to the Rapture.
Friends and acquaintances describe Ayoka as often expressing concerns about the purported negative energies associated with the eclipse. In the days leading up to the tragic event, it appears that Ayoka’s fears reached a fever pitch, leading to a series of deadly tragedies where only her traumatized nine-year-old daughter survived.
My wife and I have been sounding the alarm for years now via the TFD blog, our meditation blog and social media that the New Age community which we once enjoyed for its lighthearted spirituality, is becoming ever more radicalized by conspiracy theories. Dangerous mind candy, ranging from creepy tales of vaccines making you GPS trackable to UFO aliens secretly running the USA. In recent years, Russian / Christo Fascist fostered movements such as Q have freely propagated baseless conspiracy theories virtually unchecked on Facebook and Twitter. Preying on the largely white New Age and Evangelical community’s fears, spiritual anxieties, and skepticism of science and government in particular.
Let’s not forget that Ayoka’s tragic end, over baseless fears of a harmless and regular cosmic occurrence, was directly fostered by disgraced grifting figures like Trump, General Michael Flynn and RFK Jr. All who have lent legitimacy to dangerous false and fearful narratives. They all must be stopped. But so far the Biden administration has been unwilling or unable to protect our people from these evil clowns’ rampant mind fuckery.
